lifestyle
goods- don't buy new. thrift, borrow, barter, or make it yourself if you can
- grow your own food or at least herbs; reduce waste & dependance on corporate agriculture
- set up a rain barrel to water plants (check if this is legal in your area first)
- use an adblocker for your browser, a search engine that doesn't track you (such as duckduckgo) & otherwise attempt to limit the sale of your personal information
- keep old newspaper bags on your person & pick up waste/garbage in parks or on hiking trails
donation/sharing
goods- donate toiletries/clothes to homeless shelter (check website first to see if they accept these)
- join a buy nothing group & share with your neighbors
- share food with your community
- replace incandescent bulbs with LED bulbs for higher efficiency/less power use
- contribute to a local organization (do your research about where the money will go!)
- give cash to a homeless person
- volunteer! find a local cause you're passionate about, like a homeless shelter/food bank etc.
- watch a working parent's kids for free
- talk to your friends about capitalism & why it sucks
